Brick Awards 2006

Marlborough was delighted to have been as selected finalist for the Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year at the 2006 Brick Awards, run by the Brick Development Association and Building Magazine.

Marlborough has been a regular at the Brick Awards since the category of Specialist Brickwork Contractor was introduced in 2002 in conjunction with the formation of the Association of Brickwork Contractors of which Marlborough is a founding member.

We were delighted to scoop the the award for this category in both 2002 and 2003 and to be at least shortlisted each time we have entered...and this year was no different as our entry had been selected to make us one of just 3 finalists whom judges quoted "had excellent management systems and impressive site support".

This year the ceremony was held on the 8th November at the Marriot Grovesnor Square Hotel, London.

The entry criteria was changed for this year's awards. In previous years the criteria has focussed purely on the quality of the finished product with entrants submitting 3 recent projects that, if short listed, would be visited by the judging panel. This year the focus has widened to take in the company's management systems, structure, development, philosophy, performance and results... as well as the end product.

Having been short-listed on the strength of our submission, a judge visited our offices and a current Marlborough project to see our company in action.

We are very honoured to receive this kind of recognition and give a big thank to all our staff at Marlborough for consistently achieving such high standards year upon year.
