Brick Awards 2002

Marlborough wins Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year 2002 at the Brick Awards run by the Brick Development Association

Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year 2002 was a new category introduced at these awards, on the back of the formation of the Association of Brickwork Contractors, to give due recognition to the work of Masonry Contractors and raise the overall profile of brickwork in construction.

The national awards invite Masonry Contractors to submit details of 3 projects completed in the previous 3 years.

Marlborough's 2002 entries included:

• Seacroft Shopping Centre, Leeds
• Birchwood Point, Warrington
• Tulip Inn, Trafford Park, Manchester

Judges Commented that the projects entered,

“…Showed a remarkable degree of consistency in the quality of the finished product, both in the mass brickwork and the handling of the details.”
